Christmas 2008!

I had an amazing Christmas this year! The bake-a-thon worked out perfect. Decorating the sugar cookies with Lyndi was fun, and by the time I was done I could barely add another cookie to anyones plate. :) I gave out quite a few cookie platters to peopole and it made me feel great!!! Christmas Eve morning my mom and Norm came over at 9am. We got everything in order for appitizers and drinks in my apartment. Around 11am my grandparents, uncle, great-grandmother, mom, Norm, Reeder (Kates Baby), Autsyn and myself were all having fun at my place. Everyone munched on lil smokies, veggie trays, cheese balls, crackers and sweets. We let the little ones rip into their presents and it was soooo cute! I took pictures I just haven't had the time to upload them. Kate showed up later and then eventually everyone went on there way. I ran up to Entiat to drop off presents to some friends. Then came back in time to go to dinner at Kates where we had Prime Rib! It was so fun staying the night there that night cause I took the girls Christmas Light looking and got hot chocolate. We barely made it through one block and both girls were out in the back seat. Christmas Morning Santa came and I got to watch the girls open presents. We had a good breakfast, then I headed home got ready and went to my Dad's side of the family for Christmas Day!! We tried something new there this year and it was a hit. It was soo fun. We had great laughs, and good times!! After dinner we all went to the movies like we do every year and as usual it was so fun. I love this time of year because there is so much time you get to spend with family and catch up. The day after Christmas I wasn't planning on working but I went in and ended up being booked the whole day!!! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

I will miss her forever!

Today I am blogging because I am having an extremely hard time sleeping and I just need to talk. Unfortunately what I have to talk about is sad and not such great news or anything uplifting and for that I am sorry. I am at a loss for words right now and don't really know what to say I just know that thinking out loud will definately help me. I went to bed Wednesday night with alot on my mind. My mom had called and said that my cat that I have had for almost 20 years wasn't doing so well. I was crushed because I know that shes old but I had my mind set that this amazing cat was gonna live forever. I don't have kids so she was my baby. Being the rediculous person that I am I made my mom put the phone by Chloe's head so I could tell her I love her cause mom wasn't sure she would make it through the night. The next morning mom called and told me she had to take Chloe to the vet so I braced myself for what I was sure to come of the situation. I once again wanted to tell her that I loved her and the night before she started purring on the phone this time she put her paw on the phone my mom said and kinda licked it. Mom took her to the vet and unfortunately had to say goodbye. I miss my cat more than anything right now. The worst part to me was that I wasn't there and that is so hard. I know people don't really tend to see animals as family but this cat was so special and to me she was family she was my baby. I think I have come to find that in the whole entire dictionary of words goodbye seems to be the hardest to say. I just thought I would share these pictures I had taken not too long ago. I feel a little better now that I got this out. Just needed to pour out my heart for a little bit. I will miss you Chloe with all my heart and I love you sooo much.

Charlie Brown Where Are You?

So I have my tree up and decorated. I also put up what few Christmas decorations I have. I love the holidays but I only have a few decorations because I am 24, single and usually spend the holidays at my parents so decorating my apartment is just starting to pick up for myself. Every year besides the last few since I was well, 2 years old my moms family has gathered at my grandparents house. (they sold their house a few years ago.) My grandmother that I love to death has always had well what else do you call it... a Charlie Brown Christmas tree bless her heart. My tree is not much better so I have now named my tree Charlie Brown. Don't get me wrong I would love nothing more than to have a full, REAL tree but lets face it we all know I won't be trucking my little butt up to the mountains to attempt to cut down a tree let alone keep in alive and not a fire hazard for this long. So I make do with what I know won't burn down my apartment and also won't be housing living creatures I know would chase me out of my own house!!! I love this time of year and I try so hard to keep up with the traditions my mom has kept for so long. She was and still is always so good with so many traditions. I put up the tree listening to Thistlehair the Christmas Bear song, bought and ate the advant calander no I have not munched down everyday just the 2 so far that have passed. Hung stockings, mine are hanging from the big screen no fire place here, and put up what decorations I have. I also wrapped presents and displayed my Black Friday Trophy. (Mickey Mouse Snow Globe) I am officially ready to rock the holidays!!!! I can't wait to make sugar cookies and decorate them. I still have more shopping to do. And I have yet to put up the lights on the outside of the place but I'm getting there. Hope everyone is feeling the warmth of the holiday season with the cold weather we are having!!!! Now if only I could find Lionels blanket for the tree skirt!!!(My Charlie Brown)
(Stockings Hung With Care)

Background

I chose my new background with great thought. I was looking for something with a snowflake on it. I wanted to choose a snowflake because it reminds me of my friends and family. Not a single snowflake is the same each one is unique. I have been reminded lately of how each person is unique in their own way. I had a conversation the other night about how I had all these great memories of all my friends and each one was different. Although I do miss those great times I now know that as we grow older we drift apart and each create a new unique future for ourselves. As I look on to the holidays I am so happy and blessed to have so many snowflakes in my life!!!

Thanksgiving

I wanted to come on here the day of Thanksgiving and say how thankful I am for the many blessings in my life but I didn't because I just enjoyed being in the moment of the day! The night before I was up baking pies with my friend Lindsey and Linda. Lindsey and I went to beauty school together when I first started and have been friends since day one. Linda, is one of my moms friends and shes more like family shes been around since before I was born. Funny thing is all 3 of us had gone through beauty school. Lindsey and I sat there remembering all the fun times of beauty school we had. I was remembering the time I soaked the whole shampoo area because I had used too much conditioner and the hose flew out of my hand it was great. We laughed and laughed as I baked pies and just talked about so much. Lindsey went home and my house guest for the night, Becky got there. She was exhausted so she went to bed and I stayed up till 3AM or something close too. The next morning we got up and headed to Starbucks then the grocery store. After that Becky headed to her familys cabin while I headed to my house to finish getting ready, grab my pie and headed to my familys house. This year I spent Thanksgiving with my dads side of the family and some new comers and it was so much fun!!! After that I headed to Beckys familys cabin which feels like home to me. Not the cabin but the family they feel like part of my family now since I have known them for well 8 years now. Its always exciting going there the night before black friday it's like a tradition to me now. We all read through the ads and had a cocktail and hit the hay. The next morning Becky woke me up at 3 and I went back to sleep till about 3:30AM. Then we headed for the shopping centers. Becky & I shopped for over 12 hours!!! We I finally made it back to the cabin we went to bed at 6:30pm and continued to sleep for 14 hours hahahah. All in all it was a great Thanksgiving

Excitement!

Well I really didn't know what to post about today because I really don't have much going on until tomorrow and the rest of the weekend, until this really nice gentlemen just came through the door with my new business cards!!! Thank goodness!!! Because I had moved from the other place I had to order another 1000 cards with the new address on them and they are finally here. I have been using the old ones just scratching out the address and putting the new one in. Doesn't look very professional but now that I have the new ones they look great and now I can start handing them out again!!!! :) I already handed out over 150 with the wrong address on them. Luckily people have called before showing up and when they do show up the receptionist from the other building directs them my way :). Well, not much really else to say I guess. I can't wait for Thursday for a special blog on Thanksgiving!!!

Relaxing

I am so excited for this weekend. I get to stay home and RELAX!!! I am so happy about that because I have been working my booty off and to be able to wake up tomorrow (Saturday) and have nothing to do has never sounded so good. Hahaha. I am usually a person who likes to be doing something constantly and at a fast pace. Also I thought that it would be fun to start a blog for my salon with weekly specials until I get an actual website for it. We are starting off slowly with all the extras for the place so why not have a blog right??? Oh and here is some really exciting news... I am on the Paul Mitchell website now!!!! So if you really want to see it... I go on it daily now because I am overly excited about it. You just go to www.Paulmitchell.com Click on the Salon at the top of page and when it drops down hit salon locator. Then type in 98801 for the zip code and then within 5 miles and wala you see Lacey Michelle's!!! I am on cloud 9!!! Well I will probably write about my relaxing weekend Sunday evening so I hope everyone enjoys theirs as much as I am going to enjoy mine!!!

xoxo Lace

PS. Congrats to my friend Becky for her 200th post on her blog!!! If you ever want to read a blog that has something new all the time read hers it's very creative, uplifting, and inspiring!!!

What a good hubby she has!!! He's a kick ass guy! Marcella, Greg, & I all had some cocktails that were AMAZING!!! (blueberry vodka & lemonade) YUMMY!!! We stayed up till 2 AM making Heidi's Diaper cake which was sooo much fun!! & Entertaining!! :) @ the shower we played 3 games, How many sheets of TP does it take to go around Heidi, The baby song game, & What did the baby leave in the Diaper... All in all everything went really well I got to see some of my friends I hadn't seen in Forever and now we just wait for the arrival of baby girl... She doesn't have a for sure name until she sees her but they are leaning toward Megan. Can't wait to meet the bundle of joy by the looks of things she will be truely loved!!!!

Picking up....

Things are really starting to pick up around here a little more each day! I had this wonderful elder woman come in yesterday, unfortunately I was with a client at the time. I did however get to make her an appointment for today at 11am. She was here ready to go right when I opened my doors!! She was so nice and I was so happy to be able to have a new customer from just walking by and seeing my shop!! She lives right here where my Salon is down town and was telling me of all the people that live around here. She also told me she was the test run from her social group for my salon.... Aparently there have been a few eyeing the place kiddy corner from where I am at at the drugstore/icecream shop. They all have lunch there and coffee and she was the brave one to try me out first. :) She told me that she would be telling the rest of them what a good job I did, and send them my way. After she left I started to get a few phone calls and book some more appointments. I am so happy with the way things are going and am just super excited that I got the chance to meet this wonderful lady. She told me the history of the building I am in.. It actually is quite a large building... It first opened up as a hotel in the early 1900's and the spot that I have was the hotels hair salon when it first opened. It's changed quite a few times between hair salons and other things. Now the hotel is actually apartments for seniors and the old resteraunt is a bar, but they have their hair salon back and from what she said alot of people are excited about that!!!! It was a great opportunity and I am so grateful because I learned a little history and made someone smile. I accomplished my goal for the day! :) More clients on the way so I better get ready.. Until next time...

Day 2!!!

So my 2nd day went well. So far I have had at least 1 client every day and thats good for me to start out on my own. Yesterday I did my friend Shannons hair, she has done all my vinyl for my salon and it turned out really good so I made sure her hair looked super good as well. I did a 3 color foil and it looks so nice I love how the colors stood out and complimented each other. It looks so good. Not saying that cause I did it because quite frankly I have been shocking myself lately on my colors. I do alot of colors and foils and each one is unique which is why I love doing them because I hate it when you have days that go on repeat at work... you know the same thing over and over and over again. Thats why I love doing hair nothing is ever the same. No head is ever the same you may want the same cut as someone but certain things change to fit you and makes it your own, Well Im about to start off my day now. I have 3 clients today and one should be here any minute!!!! Hope everyone has a good day I know I am :)

What A Day!

It wasn't a completely booked day by any means but it was however my first official day open and I am happy with the outcome! I had some great supporters today and some great friends! I can't wait for it to pick up and be really busy doing what I love to do! Just wanted to let everyone know it went GREAT and I am so happy!!!!! I didn't crack open the bottle of wine I had bought months ago for this day... it didn't feel right because there are a few people I want to share that bottle with and toast with so until they are around I will save that bottle and it will taste just as good then as it would have tonight. Special thank you to my Grandma Joan for believing in me so much and being my first client of the day!! Also a Huge thank you to Shannon Bull for the amazing vinyl work she has done for my salon and also for her and her husbands help moving!!! Also thank you to Amanda Holaday & her boys Chandler & Colby for helping with organizing, putting stuff away and cleaning!!! Thank you Troy you have been a HUGE help with putting everything together for me and hanging everything your work is amazing and so are you! Also Missy thank you for all your help and moral support and being my vent for the week you are more appriciated than you know. Also, Mom you are the best and I love you very much sorry I have been such a pain in the butt!!! I know you are understanding but I want you to know that I am sorry for being a stress case and calling every five minutes when something goes wrong I couldn't have done it without you!!! To Laura you are great I know you won't read this probably but you have been my saving grace for helping get all the right licenses and leading me the right way so I could open!!!! To my friends & clients that have been so supportive and patient with me THANK YOU, you have no idea how much you mean to me!!! Ok I feel like I am writing an acceptance speach for an award but I know that I needed to thank alot of people that read this but sometimes I don't have time or even a mind lately to tell them how much I appriciate them! Dad thank you for listening to my stressful day and helping me out!! To my grandparents you are the best clients and help anyone could ask for!!! To my little sisters I love ya oh so much and thank you for your congradulations today you are both sweethearts!! To my little brother, hahahaha oh Jan if you wouldn't have thrown your fits because you hate haircuts I don't think I would be so good and little kids "quick" cuts! :) Well if I forgot anyone, which I am sure I did but don't be mad just understand I am loosing my mind and hair all at once and I love ya and am so happy you have been there to support, help, or slap me when I needed it. Ha ha. Also a huge THANK YOU to Wes, not only a teacher, a hero, and inspiration to me, but an amazing friend who has been there to answer any and all questions I have had. Wes was my instructor @ North West Hair Academy in Everett, he always made everyone laugh and was a great teacher and inspiration to every student he had!!! He does my hair, he also owns a Focus Salon, his is in Monroe WA if you get a chance check him out The Wesley Brian Salon!!! He's the best at making sure you believe in yourself and that you do know what your doing!! HAHAHA! Love Ya Wesley!!! Well, I had a great day and can't wait for what tomorrow brings!!!

Now Open

It's official Tuesday November 11th, 2008 marks the opening day of Lacey Michelle's Salon.
I am so excited and nervous all in one. I had to change locations and here are pictures of the new place. Well a small portion of the new place. The old place was really small so this place feels huge to me. I just want to thank everyone for being so patient and so supportive through this and I can't wait to come back and tell everyone how the first day went!!!

Picking up and moving on....

There are moments in your life that make you and sets the course of who you're going to be
Sometimes they're little, subtle moments. Sometimes, they're big moments you never saw coming. No one asks for their life to change, but it does. It's what you do afterwards that counts. That's when you find out who you are.
There have been so many bumps in the road with my salon and recently it got worse but it was just the end of the storm. Now it's starting to get better and I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Granted I have to move everything this week and I have been an emotional mess because I was just about to give up. I was told by the city, the location my salon was in would not work because of the zoning. Now what, I thought to myself. I was a total mess that day and the next day. Luckily, my grandma was determind to help me find another place and started looking. I drove around and every place I called was way out of my price range. The thing that hurt the worst was my dream was right there, right at my finger tips just waiting.... and now in a blink of an eye, or a brief telephone conversation it was over, done.. I felt like someone took my last breath and punched me in the stomach... My grandma on the other hand didn't feel that way, she frantically looked through the rental section of the paper and came across this place in my price range that said Salon for rent. For the price I thought for sure it was just a booth rental. But it wasn't. It was a salon. I thank God for this miracle because I was about to give up! Not something I am very proud to admitt, but it was just how I was feeling at the time. Luckily thats not how I feel anymore. I have high hopes and expectations for myself to pick up and move on and move in!!! In past few days I had my dreams vanish and reappear, friendships that have proven to be more valuable than gold, and a heart that was just stepped on again. But right now, right here at this very moment that I write this.... I believe that everything happens for a reason, people change so you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you can learn to appriciate them when they're right, you believe lies so eventually you trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so even better things can fall together. Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most. And thats what I am doing... right now, right here, working on making the middle the most!

Fall

Well, it's been a while as usual I have been busy working on the salon and getting frustrated with opening dates... but we're going to stay on a happy note for this entry. October has been so fun so far and theres still more fun to come. I will start with the other night I went to my dads house because my little sister and her friends were getting ready for neird night. I love these 3 girls...

Miss Gabby, Sis Steph, Miss Kendra

Also I got to see my neices and nephew at my dads house, this is what it looks like when my sister comes home from Utah at my dads house.......

I love drivng over the pass in the fall because all the leaves are changing and its so colorful and so beautiful. It's bright and cheery so I took a picture of it while I was driving.... scary this I know but oh so pretty.

I also got to go to a pumpkin patch the other day with my friend Shannon and it was soo fun, it's really a fruit stand but they have pumpkin patch things set up and its the closest thing we have to a pumpkin patch, the ones in seattle are better this I know. We took pictures of each other behind these wooden cut-out's they were so much fun.

And a shot of the pumpkins and oh so SPOOKY ghosts. Well theres some memories I thought should be posted so far October has been so much fun and I can't wait for what the rest of it brings my way!!!!

Moving Forward....

This is what makes me the most happy well theres two others that should be in this picture.. that would be Kate and Reeders!!! When I am feeling a little down or stressed or just out of sort I turn to my family in Wenatchee.. them. I came over to my moms for a few days to just get away from a bad situation at the time, and to cheer up and relax... it worked for like a day now I just want to get home to my family there in Wenatchee and be me again. I miss those girls and little Reeders more than words can say and I look forward to spending every minute I can with them when I get back!!! Well better get some rest so I can get up extra early and start my trip back home and believe me I will be there EXTREMELY early!!! Until later...
xx Lace
Ps. Thanks Kate for everything you do... you know!!!

Wow Update Needed!!!

Ok so it's been a long time since I was last on here to update. Hope you find humor in these photos. If I knew how to get past the only 5 photos uploaded thing I would post more. But I don't so here goes. I got to go to the Puyallup fair below you will see my new friend whos got a snout of a good deal going for him.

The next day I got up and went to the aquarium to meet Becky, Campbell, and Cooper it was soo much fun. The saying for that day was LOOK!!!! BIG!!!!! Cooper was so funny because at the begining he really wouldn't say much but once we got to the fish in the tanks thats all he would say and I would just start laughing so hard! Kids are sooo cute!!!
We also went to Pike Place and it was so much fun we got to see all the stands, flowers, and fish throwers... he (below) was one of my favorites. That was just amazing how they would throw them back and forth it was so crazy!!!! Before we went to the market we went to the Old Spaghetti Factory and it was so fun and totally laughed the whole time!! Thanks to Becky I had one of the best weekends in a long time and I telll you what I really needed the laughs and I definately had a lot of them!
I also last week got to go watch lil Maya's soccer game, Kate wasn't much impressed with the fact that I was cheering so hard you would have thought I was at a Seahawks game!!! But the girls definately liked it and I taught Maya and Lyndi how to do the Victory dance.... courtesy of one of my friends whos a racecar driver..... :) Needless to say the girls got it down and the next game I go to and they either win or score a goal they WILL be dancin' homie J style! Hahaha. We also had fun during halftime making funny faces!!! Gotta love it!
This last weekend, Kate & Craig and most of there kids minus Lyndi went to Chelan which means my lil Lyndi got her whole weekend with her auntie buggy as she calls me! I love spending time with her and she loves spending time with me. If I let her the girl would stay here every night. The first night I had her we went to Mexican food for dinner and headed to the Monster truck show at WVSO. Then we went home which leads to quite the interesting night, we were supposed to go to sleep early so we could get up and go to the Mariners... well we went upstairs to do laundry and totally locked ourselves out of my apartment. Luckily one of my friends drove us over town to get my spair key. Thank heavens!! We got to sleep at a decent time and woke up on time! We went and got starbucks, picked up a friend and headed to Seattle for the game!! We stoped a few too many times, but got there early because of a heavy foot. :) Well I know how to drive thats all. HAHAHA. It was Lyndis first ever professional game of any kind and we hooked her up with everything she wanted for a souvineer. Chris even caught her a game ball and in return we got him a mariners golfball. Lyndi also got to pick out little souvineers for her siblings. She had so much fun and Chris was totally a sweet heart to her for the whole trip. He won her over.....
Thats two of my favorite people (above)!!! We had a blast, next the Silvertips hockey game, and then the Seahawks!!!!!! After the Mariners game we ran through IKEA literally. I think Chris found every shortcut imaginable and raced the cart around with Lyndi in it like it was a racecar. Totally hullarious!!!! I wish I could have taken pictures on the way home because Lyndi was passed out on the back seat and Chris was passed out in the passanger seat. I think they both had a long day. I on the other hand didn't get to pass out till I got home and believe me I did!!! What a good past couple weeks and they just keep getting better!!! Till later....

This Weekend....

Well I'm in the Seattle area due to some doctor appointments... not fun but it works. Last night I went to the fair to get cheered up from the awful morning I had. It worked for the most part. I still feel icky but thats ok. It will be better soon I am hoping. Today I had another appointment for a few labs and now I am wanting to go to down town Seattle to Pike Place, The Aquarium, and just walk around for a little while. Clear the mind and just enjoy a day I guess. I will post pictures from this weekend when I return home. I think I'm going to hit up Trophy cupcakes, the races, and hopefully The Yella Beak.. that is if I can talk some friends into going... We will see how that works out. I hope everyone has a good weekend and is enjoying life to the fullest. Till then....

A PAUSE.... AND THEN REALITY.

SO ALL DAY I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO THINK OF SOMETHING TO POST ABOUT CAUSE I HAVE HAD SOME TIME AND SO FAR NOTHING IS BEOMING OF INTEREST TO ME... NOT SURE WHY BECAUSE I HAVE A FEW THINGS I COULD BLOG ABOUT. I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO TAKE PICTURES LAST NIGHT OF THE SALON BECAUSE ITS STILL DIRTY AND I NEED TO CLEAN BEFORE I SHOW ANY OF IT ON HERE. SO THAT WAS ONE REASON WHY I DIDN'T BLOG ABOUT THAT, THEN I THOUGHT TO MYSELF WHY NOT BLOG ABOUT FUTURE PLANS... BUT THEN I THOUGHT, HUH WHY SHOULD I DO THAT??? BECAUSE THEN THAT DAY I WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO BLOG ABOUT. THEN WHILE DRIVING TO THE AIRPORT TO DROP OFF ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS OF THE DEALERSHIP I HAD AN INTERESTING CONVERSATION.... SHE IS ON HER WAY TO TEXAS TO HELP OUT WITH THE IKE DISASTER. THIS MY FRIENDS IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT MY JOB. I GET TO TAKE CUSTOMERS HOME, TO WORK, TO THE AIRPORT, OR TO WHERE EVER THEY NEED A RIDE WHILE THEIR VEHICLE IS GETTING FIXED. I LEARN SO MANY THINGS IN THESE LITTLE DRIVES AND AM TOUCH BY ALMOST EVERY STORY I HEAR. THIS ONE IN PARTICULAR BECAUSE THIS WOMAN IS SO AMAZING. SHE HAS 6 CHILDREN, SHE AND HER HUSBAND OWN A COUPLE SMALL TOWN BUSINESSES IN A CITY JUST NORTH OF WENATCHEE, AND SHE HELPS OUT AT AS MANY DISASTER RELIEFS AS SHE CAN. SHE WENT DOWN FOR KATRINA AND NOW WILL BE GONE FOR A MONTH TO HELP WITH IKE. SHE TOLD ME MANY THINGS THAT SHE DOES WHILE SHE'S WORKING ON THESE PROJECTS. SHE DOES EVERYTHING FROM ORGANIZE, TO DRIVING RIGS, AND DELIVERING WATER, FLASHLIGHTS, BLANKETS, AND FOOD, AND TRANSPORTING AND EMT WORK AND ITS JUST AMAZING. I WAS TRUELY TOUCHED KNOWING THAT THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT LIVE TO HELP OTHERS AND WANT NOTHING IN RETURN. WHAT AN AMAZING WOMAN SHE WAS. SO, GOOD LUCK TO HER THIS NEXT MONTH AND MAY GOD BLESS HER AND HER FAMILY AND ALL THOSE WHO HELP WITHOUT WANT!!!! WHAT A DAY.... JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS A PAUSE IN IMPORTANCE.... I WAS HIT WITH REALITY.

Coming or Going???

What a weekend.... It was busy busy busy for me. Friday I got off work and headed to the salon to finish up some stuff there. I had dinner at Applebees with my friend Angelic and headed back to the salon to work on it a little more before I went home to go to sleep. I got up early Saturday to go grocery shopping for the boys so they had something to eat for lunch at the races. We were the fastest car in all 3 practice sessions and got fast time!!! GO DAD! We started 8th because of the invert and ended up finishing 4th after a LONG 200 laps. By the time the first 100 laps were done I was soo ready to just go home and sleep but I didn't have a choice so I stayed till the races were over. Beck and I went to Applebees after that for somewhat of a dinner at about 12:30 am, went back to my place and passed out right away. Becky was going to get up early and head out of town but we ended up being lazy most of the time and got ready about 1pm and headed to Red Robin for lunch and then went shopping till about 6pm or so. Then I took Beck by the Salon so she could see what I have been busting my butt doing. After that she headed home and I headed to my place to do some much needed cleaning, organizing, and laundry. What a busy, yet boring, yet exciting weekend. I will be posting some pictures of the Salon soon and hopefully soon means either tonight or tomorrow. Congradulations to Becca on her new arrival Skylee she is absolutely beautiful!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Busy Busy Busy...

Ok wow. It has been FOREVER since I have been on here. I have been working so hard lately I barely have time to sleep. Ok just a lil update on whats going on with me. I will post pictures later. I barely have time to write this. Since August 13th, I have moved almost everything into the Salon. Signed up as a Paul Mitchell Signature Salon. Have an appointment on September 22nd to move up to a Focus Salon and hopefully be open shortly. The best news so far is that I quit smoking finally!! It's a miracle!!! Yes it's true going strong and doing great! I went up to my relatives Dina and Mikes for Labor Day weekend up on Lake Roosevelt and totally had a blast! It was the most fun that I have had in years! I went down this HUGE slip and slide that went down the side of a mountain and at the bottome of it was a launch that launched you straight up into the air about 50 plus feet and trust me by the time you made it to the bottom of the slide it felt like you were going about 60 mph. But it was the most addrenaline rushing thing ever!!! I have also been up to the race track here in town almost every Saturday night. I support the locals. It's been great. I have met some really great people recently that are new friends. I have also learned some tough life lessons. All in all it's been an everyday normal life I have been leading except I keep getting closer to my dreams. I have ran into a few road blocks but most of you who know me, know that when something gets in my way I either move it out of the way or find a way to over come it. Luckily I have kept a good head on my shoulders through it all. I have parted from a few of my friends and it's a sad thing but I understand that life moves you in certain directions and takes you new places and friends come and before they leave they leave you with a memory that will last you a life time. I switched jobs at the dealership, I'm no longer in the office, I now work in the service department and I am way happier, on time and love the people around me! I actually look forward to going to work everyday! I spent the week before school started with my little Lyndi Lou (Kate's oldest) and I had and absolute blast! Well I better get back to work. I will probably have more news soon. :)

PS. I LOVE YOU

Ok well I have found a movie that beat out The Notebook in my opinion. I have totally fallen head over heals for this movie. I would love to sit here and write about this movie but theres no reason to. It would go on for days and days and by then you could all go rent it and totally understand without even hearing my words. I will however say that this movie is so emotional. Make sure you have a box of tissue handy... depending upon the mood your in. This movie can be seen 2 ways you will see what I mean once you watch it. Life is short and full of surprises, love, compromise, and beauty. All I can say is watch and be amazed at the beauty that your life holds. I rented this movie Sunday night, thank heavens its not due back till friday because I have watched it everyday since I rented it and one day watched it twice. LOL I know I know.... But I just can't get enough of it. Well thats all for now.

HAIR HAIR HAIR

So lately all I can think about is my salon.... and with good reason. I am supposed to be opening on the 11th and I wont be opening for another 2 weeks!!! We are way behind schedule and it sucks! I am trying to stay in good spirits but I have been dreaming of this day for a long time and I know they say if it isn't worth waiting for it isn't worth it. So I will just take a step back and wait.... some more. Last night was so much fun though, my cousin came over so I could do her hair since she is starting school really soon. She absolutely loved it! Just being able to do hair makes me feel so energized and excited. I love to do hair it's not a job for me it's more like a hobby that I enjoy. Later that evening I got to do my friend's hair which turned out great!!! We were up till like 12:30am doing it but it was a blast. We got to sit there and laugh the whole time about stuff. I can't wait for my salon to open so I can do this everyday!!! My salon is a one chair salon on N Miller in Wenatchee WA and is called Lacey Michelle's, "the ultimate salon experience". I will be open monday through friday from 3pm till 8pm and by appointments only on saturday. I will let everyone know when the Grand Opening will be once I know more. Until then take care everyone and have a happy HAIR day!

It's Back!!!!!

So on a whim last night I decided to turn on the television and as I was flipping through the TV guide I came across a new episode of Dog The Bounty Hunter!!!! I was so excited granted it was almost half way through the episode I didn't even care. I love that show so much. I don't know why but I do. I love the adrenaline rush and just the chase of something. Beth, Dog's wife is my favorite she is just an awsome person and I love to watch her on there. I was bummed when it was over but I now know that its back on so I will definately be making time to watch that every week!

Years, Months, Days, Minutes

20 years ago I was.... 4 years old, life was simple. Popcicles were a must in the summer, I remember the song they played as the icecream man drove by and always wanting one. I remember playing dress up with my older sister Kristen up at lake chelan and singing our famous Lake Chelan Family Song. When everyday was like a year away from eachother. And Yesterday was the pizza parlor we loved to go to.

10 years ago I was.... 14, I was in Jr. High School. I had a best friend named Katie, we were on Dance Team together. It was so much fun, we were always dating best friends because we were best friends. The only thing complicated was school work and which outfit to wear to school the next day. Teenage years were fun.

5 years ago I was....19 I was attending a community college not really concerned quite yet of where life was going to take me. I had amazing friends, still have a few of them to this day I talk to on a regular basis. I lived in Puyallup and loved to go shopping and just have fun.

3 years ago I was....21 what a year that was. I graduated from Beauty School!!! I was so excited to have finished something I had put my mind to. I moved in with one of my best friends in East Wenatchee and really got to experience life on my own, no relationships holding me back, no one to answer to but me!!! Life was good and I was a free spirit!

So far this past year I... Have accomplised alot! I am living in a great place, working on opening up my own business, have been working at the dealership for 2 years full time. I am driving one of my dream cars, living life for me and knowing where I want to go. I have met some new great friends, made some good choices and made amazing memories!!! I got to go see my sister in Utah, visit some friends in Boise, and gone on many great weekend trips!!!

Yesterday I.... Had a blast with my friends!!! We had a BBQ for my friends boyfriends birthday. It was the best time ever! Oh I also worked and went shopping. But the thing that sticks out the most is the time I got to spend with my friends which lately is more like family!

Tomorrow I will....go to my eye appointment. Work and get some stuff ready for my salon. I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. I am so excited for all my upcoming events!!!!!

Next year I will.... Hopefully be working on more of my goals and be extremely happy. I have a few things I want to do next year that I know I can't do this year quite yet. So cheers to nxt year but for now I just want to live my life day to day!!!

Sorry I had to post more than once today I couldn't resist!!!!!

Birthdays, BBQ's, & Booze

So last night we had a little get together to celebrate my best friend Kate's boyfriends birthday. Happy birthday Craig, by the way. It was a totaly blast, we all met up at their house and he had no idea, it was a surprise party! We barbequed Oysters and Steaks, had Crab, and steamed Clams. Kate also made a pasta salad and other stuff to go with it. Lets just say it was really yummy!

We all enjoyed some beer and mikes hard limes. It was fun and then SOMEONE decided it was time to really celebrate!!! So we ended up breaking out the Patrone bottle. I definately did not drive myself home cause Tequila and I have too much fun!!! Cheers to Craigs birthday!!

It was an amazing time and we all had so much fun and decided it's now a monthly tradition, birthday or no birthday we will do it every month. At the end of the night totally forgetting we had a birthday cake, Lyndi, Kates daughter reminded us. So we went down and got it shoved a candle, yes a house candle in the center of it, lit it and sang the traditional happy birthday song. Best night and memories ever!!! Can't wait till next time when we do it up again!
