A PAUSE.... AND THEN REALITY.

SO ALL DAY I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO THINK OF SOMETHING TO POST ABOUT CAUSE I HAVE HAD SOME TIME AND SO FAR NOTHING IS BEOMING OF INTEREST TO ME... NOT SURE WHY BECAUSE I HAVE A FEW THINGS I COULD BLOG ABOUT. I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO TAKE PICTURES LAST NIGHT OF THE SALON BECAUSE ITS STILL DIRTY AND I NEED TO CLEAN BEFORE I SHOW ANY OF IT ON HERE. SO THAT WAS ONE REASON WHY I DIDN'T BLOG ABOUT THAT, THEN I THOUGHT TO MYSELF WHY NOT BLOG ABOUT FUTURE PLANS... BUT THEN I THOUGHT, HUH WHY SHOULD I DO THAT??? BECAUSE THEN THAT DAY I WOULD HAVE NOTHING TO BLOG ABOUT. THEN WHILE DRIVING TO THE AIRPORT TO DROP OFF ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS OF THE DEALERSHIP I HAD AN INTERESTING CONVERSATION.... SHE IS ON HER WAY TO TEXAS TO HELP OUT WITH THE IKE DISASTER. THIS MY FRIENDS IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT MY JOB. I GET TO TAKE CUSTOMERS HOME, TO WORK, TO THE AIRPORT, OR TO WHERE EVER THEY NEED A RIDE WHILE THEIR VEHICLE IS GETTING FIXED. I LEARN SO MANY THINGS IN THESE LITTLE DRIVES AND AM TOUCH BY ALMOST EVERY STORY I HEAR. THIS ONE IN PARTICULAR BECAUSE THIS WOMAN IS SO AMAZING. SHE HAS 6 CHILDREN, SHE AND HER HUSBAND OWN A COUPLE SMALL TOWN BUSINESSES IN A CITY JUST NORTH OF WENATCHEE, AND SHE HELPS OUT AT AS MANY DISASTER RELIEFS AS SHE CAN. SHE WENT DOWN FOR KATRINA AND NOW WILL BE GONE FOR A MONTH TO HELP WITH IKE. SHE TOLD ME MANY THINGS THAT SHE DOES WHILE SHE'S WORKING ON THESE PROJECTS. SHE DOES EVERYTHING FROM ORGANIZE, TO DRIVING RIGS, AND DELIVERING WATER, FLASHLIGHTS, BLANKETS, AND FOOD, AND TRANSPORTING AND EMT WORK AND ITS JUST AMAZING. I WAS TRUELY TOUCHED KNOWING THAT THERE ARE STILL PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT LIVE TO HELP OTHERS AND WANT NOTHING IN RETURN. WHAT AN AMAZING WOMAN SHE WAS. SO, GOOD LUCK TO HER THIS NEXT MONTH AND MAY GOD BLESS HER AND HER FAMILY AND ALL THOSE WHO HELP WITHOUT WANT!!!! WHAT A DAY.... JUST WHEN I THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS A PAUSE IN IMPORTANCE.... I WAS HIT WITH REALITY.

Thanks for posting this. I LOVE hearing stories like this. Selfless people like that amaze me. Glad you got to chat with her :)
