Christmas 2008!

I had an amazing Christmas this year! The bake-a-thon worked out perfect. Decorating the sugar cookies with Lyndi was fun, and by the time I was done I could barely add another cookie to anyones plate. :) I gave out quite a few cookie platters to peopole and it made me feel great!!! Christmas Eve morning my mom and Norm came over at 9am. We got everything in order for appitizers and drinks in my apartment. Around 11am my grandparents, uncle, great-grandmother, mom, Norm, Reeder (Kates Baby), Autsyn and myself were all having fun at my place. Everyone munched on lil smokies, veggie trays, cheese balls, crackers and sweets. We let the little ones rip into their presents and it was soooo cute! I took pictures I just haven't had the time to upload them. Kate showed up later and then eventually everyone went on there way. I ran up to Entiat to drop off presents to some friends. Then came back in time to go to dinner at Kates where we had Prime Rib! It was so fun staying the night there that night cause I took the girls Christmas Light looking and got hot chocolate. We barely made it through one block and both girls were out in the back seat. Christmas Morning Santa came and I got to watch the girls open presents. We had a good breakfast, then I headed home got ready and went to my Dad's side of the family for Christmas Day!! We tried something new there this year and it was a hit. It was soo fun. We had great laughs, and good times!! After dinner we all went to the movies like we do every year and as usual it was so fun. I love this time of year because there is so much time you get to spend with family and catch up. The day after Christmas I wasn't planning on working but I went in and ended up being booked the whole day!!! I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

I will miss her forever!

Today I am blogging because I am having an extremely hard time sleeping and I just need to talk. Unfortunately what I have to talk about is sad and not such great news or anything uplifting and for that I am sorry. I am at a loss for words right now and don't really know what to say I just know that thinking out loud will definately help me. I went to bed Wednesday night with alot on my mind. My mom had called and said that my cat that I have had for almost 20 years wasn't doing so well. I was crushed because I know that shes old but I had my mind set that this amazing cat was gonna live forever. I don't have kids so she was my baby. Being the rediculous person that I am I made my mom put the phone by Chloe's head so I could tell her I love her cause mom wasn't sure she would make it through the night. The next morning mom called and told me she had to take Chloe to the vet so I braced myself for what I was sure to come of the situation. I once again wanted to tell her that I loved her and the night before she started purring on the phone this time she put her paw on the phone my mom said and kinda licked it. Mom took her to the vet and unfortunately had to say goodbye. I miss my cat more than anything right now. The worst part to me was that I wasn't there and that is so hard. I know people don't really tend to see animals as family but this cat was so special and to me she was family she was my baby. I think I have come to find that in the whole entire dictionary of words goodbye seems to be the hardest to say. I just thought I would share these pictures I had taken not too long ago. I feel a little better now that I got this out. Just needed to pour out my heart for a little bit. I will miss you Chloe with all my heart and I love you sooo much.

Charlie Brown Where Are You?

So I have my tree up and decorated. I also put up what few Christmas decorations I have. I love the holidays but I only have a few decorations because I am 24, single and usually spend the holidays at my parents so decorating my apartment is just starting to pick up for myself. Every year besides the last few since I was well, 2 years old my moms family has gathered at my grandparents house. (they sold their house a few years ago.) My grandmother that I love to death has always had well what else do you call it... a Charlie Brown Christmas tree bless her heart. My tree is not much better so I have now named my tree Charlie Brown. Don't get me wrong I would love nothing more than to have a full, REAL tree but lets face it we all know I won't be trucking my little butt up to the mountains to attempt to cut down a tree let alone keep in alive and not a fire hazard for this long. So I make do with what I know won't burn down my apartment and also won't be housing living creatures I know would chase me out of my own house!!! I love this time of year and I try so hard to keep up with the traditions my mom has kept for so long. She was and still is always so good with so many traditions. I put up the tree listening to Thistlehair the Christmas Bear song, bought and ate the advant calander no I have not munched down everyday just the 2 so far that have passed. Hung stockings, mine are hanging from the big screen no fire place here, and put up what decorations I have. I also wrapped presents and displayed my Black Friday Trophy. (Mickey Mouse Snow Globe) I am officially ready to rock the holidays!!!! I can't wait to make sugar cookies and decorate them. I still have more shopping to do. And I have yet to put up the lights on the outside of the place but I'm getting there. Hope everyone is feeling the warmth of the holiday season with the cold weather we are having!!!! Now if only I could find Lionels blanket for the tree skirt!!!(My Charlie Brown)
(Stockings Hung With Care)
(Presents wrapped beneath the tree)

Background

I chose my new background with great thought. I was looking for something with a snowflake on it. I wanted to choose a snowflake because it reminds me of my friends and family. Not a single snowflake is the same each one is unique. I have been reminded lately of how each person is unique in their own way. I had a conversation the other night about how I had all these great memories of all my friends and each one was different. Although I do miss those great times I now know that as we grow older we drift apart and each create a new unique future for ourselves. As I look on to the holidays I am so happy and blessed to have so many snowflakes in my life!!!
